Amazon.com banned by Google
In an amazing ridiculous action, Google has banned the internet staple, Amazon.com. This has got to be another caching bug that has been plaguing Google’s datacenters for the last several weeks.
Good Work Google! We discussed this issue thoroughly in the http://www.thegooglecache.com/?p=29 post on Google’s caching problems. While the site:amazon.com command continues to work, the direct referal search of amazon.com or www.amazon.com fails.
This is of particular interest considering a large number of surfers place the url directly into the Google search toolbar when trying to access a page.

Actually it is not a ban, because when site is banned it is 2 lines with links, there are 3 for amazon.com (if site is banned first line, with link to http://amazon.com is not shown).

I just noticed another strange testimonial from GoogleCache : it shows that Amazon is effectively cloaking Googlebot on its IP by showing him the shop content on other web sites of the amazon company “galaxy”, like imdb.com
